As someone who is not naturally an entreprenuer, I have to admit, I lost my passion for SendOutCards for 2.5 seconds. It didn't take long, however, for me to get that passion back!!!

It all started when my uncle created a GENIUS Christmas gift for his brothers, sisters, neices and nephews. He created a calendar with family photos and recipies each month as well as everybody's birthday listed in the appropriate calendar block. Then, on the back, he had names and addresses listed.

Using Picture Plus

The most exciting aspect to me of SendOutCards is utilizing PicturePlus. I have enjoyed making beautiful cards for my family and I can't wait to hear from them when they receive them.

I love sending pictures of Nathanial, of course, but I have also enjoyed reaching out and touching my family members that I was able to see at our most recent reunion.

I also love the fact that the PicturePlus program is ridiculously easy to use. You can make personal cards by placing your own pictures on the card and framing them. It's awesome!

Need Motivation To Work On This!

Blogging, while an amazing way to get the word out about what you are doing, is also a way to verbally spew all of the pent up emotions and frustration that plague you.

I must admit, I LOVE SendOutCards. I think you probably know that by now. Last night, I created the COOLEST personal cards for a few of my family members after our family reunion in West Virginia this past weekend. I've only sent out two, each really neat PicturePlus cards, so I don't want to go into details in case my family is reading.

What I need to write about this evening is this: I have a folder that is about a half an inch thick FULL of possible leads for SendOutCards. Now, I don't mind cold calling. I really don't! Especially not when I'm wanting to share such a great product as this. But, I'm having a hard time blocking out my time and forcing myself to sit down and get people on the phone.

I know that this tool can help people reconnect with their loved ones. I KNOW this tool can be a great asset for businesses to connect with their clients. What I need is SCHEDULING. I MUST USE MY PLANNER.

I need help in this arena. I HAVE to get organized. I have to get my stuff together. There is SO much I want to accomplish, but right now I am:

Taking care of my own home, i.e. laundry, cleaning, etc.
Taking care of my 7 month old.
Selling real estate
Selling SendOutCards
And I have one house that I clean every other week for $80.

It gets exhausting. It gets hard to stretch the hours in the day. It gets mad crazy. But man, I feel God in all of it. I know He will provide clarity. I'm just waiting for it!

The Passion Test

So, I've restarted the Passion Test at a really good time in my life. I'm getting to know motherhood, enjoying SendOutCards and bouncing back into a real estate. What I will tell you is that when you first go through the test, it can be a bit tedious deciphering what your true passions are - at least, the top 5.

When I first took the test, I remember having a list of about 15 and having to place each passion against one another to finally whiddle it down to 5 items. This time, it was much easier. I'll let you know how it continues!

The Passion Test - A Must Read!

It was December and I was very pregnant when I received for Christmas a book that I had eyed at Barnes and Noble weeks before. The title: The Passion Test. After all, I was about to be a mother and it was very important for me to portray to my little one the importance of living a passionate life. And, I will be honest, I had no idea what my passions in life were.
I didn't really know what I was looking for at the time. Now, I know exactly what I was looking for: Clarity.
Enter The Passion Test. There are many books out there that are filled with words and vague suggestions of what you can do to change your life and embrace every moment. This book, however, is very specific. There are instructions and activities to participate in that take work. For me, as much as I have enjoyed this book, it has been work! I've made my way to the middle of the book and I am now deciding to start over again.
Why am I starting over again? My baby is now 6 months old and it is recommended by the authors to take the test every six months. So, I'm actually well past due! While I could speed through the rest of the book, that would not do it justice and I am
Why do I like this book?
There is an acknowledgment of a higher power. For me, that higher power is God.
It is positive and encouraging.
I don't feel like I'm being lead to want wealth or want passions that are not my own. The purpose is truly to dissect your passions in life so that they can be focused on with intention and attention while enabling you to make decisions that are aligned with living your passion.

Network Marketing - A Review

One of the big hang-ups some people have with SendOutCards is the network marketing aspect. What is network marketing? In network marketing, also known as multi-level marketing, independent distributors create organizations or businesses in under the umbrella of the parent company through relationship referrals and direct selling.

With SendOutCards, commissions are earned off of the sales of product. Coaching bonuses can also be obtained through the recruitment of other independent distributors and helping them build their own businesses. But look, it's like this:

A Story I Must Share

I met a lady at the grocery store the other day. I was with my sweet baby Nathanial, and of course, he is quite the conversation starter! She led in with "I remember when mine were that small..." and continued until I knew about a recent death in her family and the status of one of her son's marriages! Woah!

She is an older widowed woman who lives far away from her kids, as far as I could gather from the conversation. When I came home, I had this huge feeling that I needed to reach out to this woman. I called my mother and asked her what I should do. After all, I did not know this woman. She could be one of those crazy people who steals children and sells them on the black market.

Then my husband said, "What would you want someone to do if it was Mamaw?" (As in his grandmother) That was all it took. I knew what I needed to do. I looked up her address in the GIS and sent her a card. A few days later, I got a card back. It was beautiful! I made a friend and I acted on a prompting.

If I had any doubts that God has placed me exactly where I am supposed to be, they were all banished today. Today, I attended my first SendOutCards Treat 'Em Right Seminar. I am amazed by the heart behind this company. It is more than just a network marketing team selling product - it is a team of friends and family who are together trying to "Change lives one card at a time."

I know, I know. That is about as corny and cheesy as it gets. But listen, I have been so blessed over the past 2 weeks to be able to get into my SendOutCards system, pick the PERFECT card out of 13,000, write the exact message that I wish to write and send a heart felt card to a member of my family or to friends.

Kody Bateman calls SendOutCard users to act on their promptings, and man, am I getting prompted. All it takes is a card to brighten someones day, and I believe that the Holy Spirit is working in this movement through people to bring positive change into the lives of others.

I want to become a giver, a server, a helper, an aid to people who don't know how to put things into words, a piece of marketing advice for someone who needs a bump up in their business, a friend...I want to be a Sender of Cards!

Stepping Outside of My Comfort Zone

I am not a saleswoman by nature. I don't do well with it. I feel that if you want something, you don't need persuading and if you don't want something, none of the persuading in the world will convince you that you need something. But I don't have a problem talking about things that I genuinely find to be good products. I would have been a millionaire (execrating, yes) if I had been paid for my recommendations of:

The neti pot
Bella bands
Weight Watchers

Now, I have a product that doesn't need selling. I don't have to "pitch" it to people. I just have to explain to them that I have found something that will make it easier for them to bless the lives of others. That's what SendOutCards is for me. A way to reach out and touch those from whom I am farthest away. It's amazing. It's personal.

Because I have fallen so completely in love with this system, I have surprised myself in my actions. I have stepped out of my comfort zone and called people I never would have dreamed of calling. I want the whole world to know what it is like to have this system.

A Few Days Into It...

Good evening!
It is 11:22 PM as I write this post. I am excited to say that I am LOVING the fact that I am a Send Out Cards Distributor. Have I had anyone sign up? Nope. But I'm working on it. And I know that I will sell it because the product is amazing. I have used it throughout the past week and fallen in love with it complete. I would not be so excited except that I believe in the product.
This weekend, I am attending a Treat 'em Right Seminar in Charlotte with my sponsor/boss/one of my best friends Elizabeth and I cannot wait! It is so strange but this whole process is bringing out a part of me that I didn't' know existed. It's like I had to find my passion again. And this is what it is: Working in something that I love but most importantly having the flexibility to meet my son's needs. I love it.

An Experiment

I have a very limited amount of time to earn $2,000.00 per month before my husband makes me go back to work for The Man. (When I say The Man, I mean back to a time clock and set schedules and limited flexibility and rigid rules and UGH! After being a real estate agent and an assistant for two years, I don't want to go back.)

Don't get me wrong, my husband is not pushing me just to push me. We need the money! But, I keep telling myself: There HAS to be another way!

That is where this blog comes in. I'm branching this blog away from my SaraBlogsBaby blog so that those people who don't want to read about it but still want to follow SaraBlogsBaby are able.

I have a theory that there IS a way to work a flexible schedule (even if it's still between 30-40 hours a week) and earn multiple streams of income that equate a full-time, 9-5 job. Understand that I am doing this NOT because I am lazy and don't want to work. I am trying to organize a variety of income sources so that I have the FLEXIBILITY to take care of my son's needs. He has:

Physical therapy once a week as well as daily physical therapy needs
Periodic appointments at Duke Hospital and the Greenville Shriner's Hospital
Chronic constipation, for lack of a better word

In short, he needs his mommy and I need to be there for him. So, I'm digging my nails in and hanging on. Here is what I'm doing:

Working 15 hours a week for REALTOR and National Seminar Speaker, Elizabeth Ward Small
Cleaning my mother-in-laws house
Writing for websites
Starting a home based business

What? Starting a home based business? Yes, my friends, I am giving network marketing a try. The reason?

I TRULY believe in this system. There is no doubt in my mind that the product is good, that people can use it and that it truly has the ability to change lives.
I need the money and it's worth a shot.
I have seen the commission checks of my sponsor and I know there is money there!

So, this blog will follow my actions as I try to keep myself a work from home Mommy.
